China Town in the morning.

I had an appointment later in the day but so wanted to see Chinatown. I went early before the area was very busy and many things were not yet opened. I really like this area. The smells that you encounter are so pungent. I noticed fish, of course, and herbs and many fruits and flowers.

After coming up out of the MRT station I noticed to get across the very busy street you had to go up and over it. This picture above is what you first see after going over the street to the main shopping area.

The colors are so vivid.

In Singapore, construction is ALWAYS going on EVERYWHERE.

Archways and hallways abound here. Very narrow hallways which when the business is open they line the very narrow hallways with tables selling their wares. I will be going back here alot so many more pics will be posted.

The pic below looks like a Pepsi symbol on the door!

Notice the laundry being hung to dry from the windows.
Singapore is an island so building occurs up, not out.
Most people do not dry their laundry like we do in the states in a dryer, they hang them to dry from their windows in the fresh island air.
