Almost over.

It is Monday December 29th and my trip of a lifetime is almost over.

Wow, has this been a whirlwind of an adventure. This city, island, country has so much to see and to offer. I have truly been busy just about everyday and there is still so much I will not be able to experience.

Deb and I ventured out yesterday to an Arts and Crafts shop in a different part of the city than I had ever been to. As always we made an adventure of it. Starting off the day with Australian food in the central business district and then to a different area to have desert.

For desert we went to a Waffle Factory. No, that was not breakfast, here in Singapore waffles are desert. The only thing the Waffle Factory sells is, well, waffles. They put cereal in them, cookies, jams, fruits, even nacho cheese. Very interesting and very good.

The Arts and Crafts store was amazing and I wanted to bring most of the store home with me. They had some amazing furniture with rich dark woods and some iron work which must be seen to be appreciated. I did manage to purchase some very nice things to remind me of my trip there.

We also went to a movie last night, The Yes Man, with Jim Carey. Very good premise, good acting, lots of laughs.

The next three days are going to go by so quickly. I doubt I will have the chance to post any pictures or update the blog.

Looking back on this adventure I have so much to be thankful for.

First and foremost is the company I work for and my boss, Gloria. Not too many people would be able to ask for 2 weeks off to go to Singapore only to be given 5 instead. Thank you DDM and thank you so much Gloria!

In these rough economic times I have not taken one moment of this trip for granted and remain thankful and grateful for the opportunity.

Deb, my "hostess" in Singapore and my traveling companion, thank you for everything. For the shared opportunity of visiting Singapore, Malaysia, and Japan too! The memories we have shared will last us a lifetime. Quite nice, wouldn't you say? Thank you for keeping me going everyday and for "The List." I know you will have a wonderful time here the remaining months of your visit and look forward to hearing all about it. Please try and find at least another bag or two to buy!

Sandy, our tour guide in Japan. How could we have done such a short trip without you? Thank you so much for your expertise on Tokyo and showing us around. Christmas was a blast as well.

Lynn Simm, I love Prata! Thank you for your gracious and open heart. Your Christmas gift will long be enjoyed.

So until I return to the states and have a moment or two to post some more pictures this will probably be my last post. I have filled up almost 4 SD pictures cards of 4GB each so I do have a "few" pictures to share.

I hope everyone has a very Happy New Year!
